Behind every successful business is a story of hard work, leadership, innovation, and commitment to the community.
The 39th Annual Business Excellence Awards, presented by Doane Grant Thornton LLP, recognize the businesses, organizations, and business leaders who help shape Penticton and the South Okanagan.
If someone comes to mind, we encourage you to submit a nomination. It only takes a few minutes, and your nomination is the first step in recognizing their achievements.
If a nominee is submitted in the wrong category, the Chamber will review the nomination and, where appropriate, move it to the most suitable eligible category.
Businesses, non-profits, and individuals operating within the following communities are eligible for nomination:
Penticton, Summerland, Naramata, Kaleden, Okanagan Falls, Oliver, and Osoyoos.

All eligibility is based on September 1, 2026
| Award Category | Eligibility Requirement |

| Business Excellence Awards Service • Hospitality • Marketing & Communications • Workplace Culture • Community Builder | Business must have been operating for at least 2 years. |
| Business of the Year | Business must have been operating for at least 5 years. |
| New Business of the Year | Business must have been operating for at least 1 year but less than 3 years. |
| Not-for-Profit | Registered non-profit or charitable organization must have been operating for at least 2 years. Non-profits and charities are recognized in this category only and are not eligible for Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Service Excellence, Hospitality Excellence, or Community Builder. |
| Young Business Leader of the Year | Nominee must be 19–39 years of age and have at least 2 years in a leadership role. |
| Business Leader of the Year | Nominee must be 40 years of age or older and have at least 4 years in a leadership role |
